I'm interested, but I have questions about what to make and submit.
For a pure text novel, it would be writing the text and then using a text viewer to display it on a C64. This is basically making the C64 an ebook viewer. To be honest, I am not so keen on reading ebooks on my C64. I usually do this in bed, and eventually, my ebook viewer falls on my face when I fall asleep. That would hurt a lot with my 1084S CRT.
Or should the novel have some retro and/or C64 reference?
Or can we also submit a text adventure?
What about graphic novels? |

iAN is right
*undeleted*
@release: released is released and cannot be unreleased... so don't drink/do drugs and release...
@category: this is what MISC is for, we don't need no C64-shorty-story
@compo: some rules would be good, though... |

You can't unrelease what's released, I expect mods to undelete the entry.

It was just an idea, no rules. I don't care anymore, but anyone can pick it up. |

What is the deadline for this compo? And it must be unique self written stuff, I presume? Some rules would be great. Otherwise peeps will just mass convert already existing novels etc. Or that is ok? |

If anything, you should add Text credits if you wrote it, done it for you this time. |

I beg for a new category called 'C64 short story' or something like that. I hope there are many sceners around ho would like to write short stories, poems, or even novels for the C64, having no free-minded writer communities around. This would certainly help to add some 'content' to C64 releases, and the best of them could easily inspire a text-based adventure game. (Don't take this as a promise, but if your story grabs our souls this can easily happen.) |
