Trivia :
This was a group i (CyberBrain) formed when i was like 7-9 years old (sometime around 1988), together with a good friend of mine (Sniff). We started in BASIC ofcause (made tons of lame stuff in C64/C128-BASIC (that we thought was cool)), so it wasn't so sceneish back then (allthough we tryed to make things as cool as the cracktros). I was allways the one who had to learn him how to code things. Later some other of our friends got into the group. Most of them were just in the group because they were our friends, not because they could do anything. Many went AMIga (and so did i, and coded some stuff in AMOS-Basic together with BlackShadow/BlastMaster - just didn't leave the C64).
Later i learnt that BASIC wasn't the only programming language that existed (and i suddently understood why i couldn't make things go as fast and put so much in the memory, as the guys who coded the cracktros/games/demos could). I saw an advertisment for a machinecode-tutorial (by The Ghoul/Mechanix) (Ghoul's Maskinkode Kursus) in a danish computer-paper-mag, and ordered it. After having learnt machine code i did MegaMess (the only BlastMaster thing that got released to more than a few people). I got some joining offers from other groups (Acheron & No Name), and joined them (but were still in BlastMaster on the amiga/pc). BlastMaster pretty much died shortly after that.
Where did the name "BlastMaster" come from you ask? I think "blast" was something from "The Blasters Inc." (<- the cracking group), which i knew for a crack of a pacman-game they released. "Master" was actually first "Mast" (so it started as BlastMast), and as lame as it sounds i think i got it from a character in a danish children series, that i liked at that time ("fladmast" tror jeg han hed). Later i found out that adding "er" would make the name cewler.
