Los Amigos

Founded by :
Watergate '88 on 12 April 1988

Group Types :
Hacker Group, Swapping Group

Base Country :
United States

Trivia :
Three Members: Grafitronix Plus (a.k.a. Grafix); The Stranger; Watergate '88. Mostly did intro hacks and a 30-day time-release ALIENS copy with Di-Sector.
Watergate '88 was in contact with others in the scene, as was The Stranger, swapping, uploading and downloading tons of cracked and hacked software. I was notorious for hacking the scrolly text of some of our favorite intros and SID jukeboxes.
(Can anyone tell me where to find the SID jukebox with the awesome Ric Ocasek graphic?) One of the BEST SID Jukeboxes I have ever enjoyed! To whomever coded it all, one hearty "Thank You!" and 10 CHEERS! Thanks. [We tried to rename the group when I found there was a restaurant called Los Amigos where we lived at the time. I wanted "Leftist Guerilla WarMongers of America" (LeGWaMoA), but they voted against it as the name was too long.] Managed to alter the name a bit with "Los Amigos Cracking Group", though it was very short-lived. I renamed it again as "The Guys" but Stranger hated it, so we changed it back.
After we left for college and work after high school, we all took our stuff and went our separate ways-- i lost The Stranger's Koala Pad and KPainter cart during a move, and was never able to replace it. He has forgiven me since. (Thx Stranger!)
