So here is the history of The Papillons.
From the day the three guys Lennart, Martin and Jacob founded the group that ended up being - the pride of Denmark - to the end. Well as you might know Papillons was founded by 'Catman' and 'The Phsycos'.

Chapter One: 'The Foundation'
After we had agreed to make a new group, we (Lennart, Martin, Jacob and C3PO) met at Lennart's place over a nice cup of tea and cake. We had a long chat about the new group name but finally Catman said: well what about 'Papillons'. Hmmmm - hmmmm - long discussions and then - ok! It was November 1986 and the birth of a new super group was a reality! We started off with the contacts we already had - mostly danish guys. After a while we took over all MDM's contacts including a few costumers. We were happy and called a lot of guys. Some were dead, some lame and most of them were good. One of our best contact at that time was our first USA-contact New Bencor Brothers - but only mail-trading. Anyway, to keep up the pace we decided that it was best to get regularly new games from a known and fast group abroad. Non Stop Cracker was the lucky one to get a lot of fucking money from us. Unfortunately we didn't get our moneys worth. We only received about 3-4 packages from that lame son of a bitch. Time passed and we tried to beat all the others guys but the competition was very hard so we decided to try our luck buying from abroad again. This time it was Future Projects who received the money. Neither this time it wasn't our moneys worth. The stuff was mainly old. From that time we dropped the idea of buying games. We changed our strategy. We had to crack games. Well that wasn't that easy as we thought, but finally we succeeded and the first crack ever from the great Papillons was Twin Tornado.

Chapter Two: 'Summer 1987'
After our first crack we had to find a way of getting new originals. It seemed rather tough, but we did have a chance 'cause Jacob owned this company called 'Secret !!!' and by using that company we were able to get originals directly from 'secret business'. A lot of new stuff arrived and new cracks were released. New contacts and costumers were added to our list. It was almost August when we got a modem - new doors were open to us.

Chapter Three: 'The Glory Days'
With this modem we also got a new American contact: The Alliance, but getting it to work was even harder than getting new originals. We spent several weeks over the modem, but no success! Now suddenly everything went wrong. Our original supplier denied everything. We think they found out who we were and what we were using all those originals for. We wrote a letter to The Wild Boys in the USA and started a good relationship with them. Best of all was that they knew a guy in England called Sigma. He could supply us with brand new originals. We also sent him a lot of money to buy new originals and then send them back to Denmark. The first one was Armageddon Man +D which was our first real fast crack. It was spread all over the entire world and we got quite popular on that one. Ohhhh yeah. After a week we got the modem to work !!! What a cool thing. Now we started importing brand new games. The first one was Superstar Soccer as you might remember. October the 1st we got our poste restante so that people could write to us. Now we had a long period of greatness.

Chapter Four: 'Bad Luck'
Sigma started to get slow. Our money was wasted once more. At this time we were only three members left. C3PO dropped out in June '87. Finding a new original supplier wasn't that hard this time. We continued to crack and what happened next? You see, when you are popular you always get enemies. It showed a few times later, but first it was Jewels. They claimed that we were reset cracking our games. What a bunch of shit! We had a lot of discussions with them over the phone. And what did they say??? : Why don't you come to us and get beat up? - Jesus! - what a lame thing to say! Anyway, it was all their fault - they started the thing - so we hit back by writing 'destroy Jewels' in the bam. That was the end of it. It ended up good - as you might know we are pretty good friends now. Now we started to get originals for free. That's not bad at all. When one thing is good another is bad.....the modem!!!! Some changes in the phone lines caused that we now only could transfer 300 baud.....how lame! There was now only one thing to do to get the 1200 baud to work again. We had to call the USA. We found out how to cheat the phone company and everything seemed good. But something went wrong when we wanted to start a conference.... we got busted. We were really scared because they only knew about the conference. Nothing about the transfers. And what would happen if they found out??? Luckily they didn't.

Chapter Five : 'Big Changes'
Jacob decided to leave the C64 for the Amiga. So now there were only two active members on the 64 and one on the Amiga.
The Wild Boys stopped - and we started to trade with Fucked Beyond Repair. Still 300 baud. After two months we got 1200 baud to work again.. great!!! Now we were back on top! Again a group didn't like our greatness. 2000 A.D. made an anti demo against us. Why??? Well, we called them and they said that we five months before said something bad about one of their demos. How lame! Let the little ones have fun! Since then we have stayed on top as usual! We have been to a few copy partys.

Now you might ask - why are they stopping??????? Well, we have always wished to stop on the top. About our future..... You will never see anything from the Papillons again!!!! Jacob will continue on the Amiga with another group 'Goffy Crackings'. Lennart will stop pirating completely and start a legal career. Martin will only use his computer for educational purpose and he will use his spare time for surfing.
