...but the version shown when this is compiled is:
"CodeNet V0.3 by John "Graham" Selck on 6.11.2010."

I guess updaing the version number was simply forgotten.

Only change appears to be the handling of timeouts and retries. Instead of a hardcoded 500 ms timeout with 3 retries, there's now a configurable (-T, 250 ms default) timeout, and you can specify the number of retries with -R (default 4).
