Dane, I have heard of a new kinda editor you can use on modern hardware. Such as Windows, MacOSX and Linux. Say Cheese! :D | User Comment Submitted by Jak T Rip on 4 September 2013

@Dr.j, feel free to ask any questions, I released this with the hope of helping some more musicians. :-) | User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 2 September 2013
I am sure JCH will smile today (again !)
Wisdom : as i told you before personal (sorry for my lame questions...hehe) great job. i will test it later and maybe try old version of CC to see if they can deal with old tunes that converted to the new version | User Comment Submitted by Wisdom on 2 September 2013
@Dane, if you use it with a modified player, chances are there the pointer restore (relocate) routine will not work, as it does not dynamically try to find pointers that need to be updated after the packing process.
If the player is modified, but the address scheme is kept intact (i.e. location of absolute instructions referring to tables are not changed), then it should work.
In either case, you are free to modify the source code according to your needs anyway, and actually it should be trivial to do so. In case you need any help with this or you want your player to be supported in future releases, feel free to contact me. Thanks.
@Frantic, the release includes the full source code to the packers that you might want to add to Codebase64, if you see it relevant. | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 2 September 2013
JCH still going strong! :D | User Comment Submitted by Dane on 2 September 2013
This looks great. I will test it on my modified player, fingers crossed that it works! (Getting a little tired of reassembling and manually packing music data...) |
