This release is a joke! First of all the so called membership of some NEC members releasing a demo that not only does not function on NTSC, it flickers on PAL too!
This looks like it was ripped from one of Wanderer's (Satan at the time) intros then altered.
Odd release. | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 5 December 2013
I'm not good enough to understand why "the best" didn't at least set $d020 blue outside that white Platoon rip area (alternative $d021 black). Thx to black border you can see all the wonderful $d016 switches the second of which I don't really understand since the logo ain't tech tech or any other fancy stuff. besides, it glitches like hell, and I don't believe that was meant to be a feature. some cool ideas that might have worked but terrible execution, esp. for 1988, but even earlier, this would have been considered lame. Looks like not only gfx but also code was ripped and not halfway understood.
Reminds me of my own first stumbling steps into assembler some 20 years later :) | User Comment Submitted by bepp on 4 December 2013
Announcing the new group "Spook" which was "just the best former members of NEC". |
