Thanks for the input, i'll add those fixes and ideas to the next version, found also a bug in the statsitics output that can make the packer crash. I have meanwhile made a much smaller sfx extractor + changed some details on the encpoding which yields better results when searching for the optimal bitlengths (which will be found faster now too). However, i would not mind making the repository public where i keep projects like this. It is sometimes the better choice than a release a day :-) | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 15 March 2014
it's just a build fix for mingw, nothing that makes a new version, on the other hands allows building the tool where alloca.h isn't required (really, wtf) | User Comment Submitted by Karoshier on 15 March 2014
@Rough: oh ok, sorry. I will do so if really required, but my change really is a couple bytes. I didn't see it to be really worth of a new entry in the database. But I don't wanna break any rules, indeed. :) | User Comment Submitted by Rough on 15 March 2014
That patch should be added in a new entry, this is a database, NOT a code release site like source forge :p | User Comment Submitted by Karoshier on 15 March 2014
Nice work, Bitbreaker! I have made a quick test on some prod I'm writing and it generates files not much bigger than exomizer: exo_raw = 17308, ls_raw = 17746, ls_simple = 17864.
I have added a patch to this release: I modified an include to make the packer compile under MinGW (the version I am using is the old 4.5.0). Also I have added a short makefile to automatize compilation. It's a quick-and-dirty thing but seems to work for me. I hope it will be useful. To apply the patch download and unpack the original archive, then download and unpack the patch and overwrite all files. | User Comment Submitted by Swoffa on 12 March 2014 User Comment Submitted by Brush on 12 March 2014
