Didi: We call it +2D, but we will not punish anyone if they want to call it +3D. Freedom of speech etc. Also: see aka.

It is not a "trainer" in the exact meaning of the word. But it is a kind of "cheat" like all other "trainers", so it belongs to the same family of add-ons for me. But this debate is useless because it is a matter of taste. In other CSDb entries it is usually counted as +.

This might not be the proper place to debate counting of trainers, but I do agree with Hedning - seeing endsequence is nothing that gives you and favors in the game and should hence not be counted as a trainer IMHO. But it's still a nice addition of course.

Maxlide: Yes. Something like that, as it does not affect the gameplay at all. You won't train yourself by just skipping to the endswq.

Perhaps "watch endsequence now?" is more like an option than a trainer like an added highscoresaver or docs.
Something like "+E".

I dunno really. Wasn't around in GP in 1990. I just explained Zyron's view. But call it +3 if you want. I won't fight that (and as you can see, we do understand it as well, as stated in the aka field already). We chose to call it +2, at least.

Hmmm, so sometimes you count "endsequence" as trainer (for example in X-Out +8D) and sometimes not.

As the player can choose to cheat and watch the endsequence in advance, I think that this should always be counted as a trainer.

Zyron thought it was a bit embarrassing to count "seeing the endseq" as a trainer per se. It's more a service than a classic trainer. But that can be discussed of course. Thus, Zyron put it outside the trainer menu. I know it counts by some. I'm not fond of counting too many trainers either. It just ends up with Vinny's "+34" versions where you can choose border colour.

I did however add +3D in the "aka" field.

Could you please explain, why this release was called +2, when there are 3 trainer options inside (end, lives, invinc.)? Thanks.
