Multipaint is for me the most important tool to do pixel art. Thank you!

This is very easy to use. I recommend this whole-heartly.

Marq’s PETSCII editor is as well a very easy and handy tool.

I'm no graphician unfortunately, but I really like the feature of exporting the bitmap- and colordata to text file also! Very useful when importing gfx to assemblycode!
