@Joe: they're just minimal(?) designs, similar to how DCS did it on the the Amiga with their intro "Foretstill deg en cube". The additional effects (sparkles, little cubes, twister) were my idea.

And believe me, I tried my best to make it 8x8, so I had to release this out of the compo on purpose cause I like it (don’t want to let it rot on my hdd for a long time). Still, who knows when I make 8x8 version :b

Neat! Me too! What is the demo effects there? I could spot a twister and a scroll,
but the thing to the right? 9x8 was out of the compo, do a remake and cut one line..
