I checked the original and it does not work in NTSC. I'm not sure if TRC did this later, did this the same day or if it was done by someone else. The credits say it was released PAL/NTSC in this one and the original, so it's possible this was released separately on the same day - or - they intended this to be dual-compatible and it didnt turn out that way and this was released later.
