sebaloz: that's because those instructions are never executed or read/written, so sidreloc ignores them, it's perfectly fine =) but i'm not going to continue this off topic in here, believe what you want =)

Not my style of music but it is a strong contender and I absolutely enjoy the sound design. C'grats for #1.

I checked the sound, and I liked it. Those filter fireworks are very satisfying! Congrats on the #1! :D

Just look at $5006:
.> 5006 4c 39 11 JMP $1139
.> 5009 4c 2c 19 JMP $192c
.> 500C 4c 38 11 JMP $1138
etc

Or try to relocate to $0400 and compare with original "GREGFEEL - CHECK THE SOUND $0400 [02-52s msx compo].sid". The files aren't the same.

And read Slajerek's comment "not-translated addreess of JSR jumping to a void":

sebaloz: what? sidreloc 1.0 (win32) works for me with sidwizard tunes, I've just ripped the tune from this prg, at $0f00, and relocated to $5000
C:\temp>sidreloc -p 50 -k "check the sound (msx compo).0f00.sid" "check the sound (msx compo).5000.sid"

<?>, <?>, 19?? <?>, $0f00-$2f5b, 1 subtunes
Relocating from $0f00-$2fff to $5000-$70ff
Analysing subtune 1
Verifying relocated subtune 1
Bad pitches: 0, 0%
Bad pulse widths: 0, 0%
Relocation successful.

And I'm not even using my own 1.02 mod with illegals support and what not.

A deserved winner, even if not my cup of tea as you know ;) Definitely rocked the partyplace! By the way, as I said - it's so great to have you back in the scene, with all the passion and drive you have. Keep it up!

iAN CooG, sidreloc is not capable of relocating tunes created with SID-Wizard. Maybe it wasn't known enough.

Hey guys!
The evening of May 25, 2024 will always remain in my memory. That's when I felt truly happy. Msx compo and the number of votes for me at MD 24 was such a surprise to me - I couldn't believe it.

Thank you all for your warm comments and support - especially Shogoon, Xiny6581, Wacek, Jammer, Sebaloz and remotely Katon. It means a lot to me.

Thank you for believing in me and what I do. It was worth working hard for moments like these!

Cool tune.
I have to ask tho: what's the point of adding 2 versions of the tune relocated at 2 different addresses, originally at $0f00, at $0400 (!) and $1000?
If one really needs to reloc a tune, SidReloc by lft does the trick. Maybe it wasn't known enough.
Nice idea instead to make a looped & longer version, but that should be in a separate entry on its own, this is the entry for the compo version and only that should be in here.

The music was great and well deserved win!
Close call with Shogoon. Just one point :)
On the party speakers it sounded even better!
