What PETSCII on the C64 is AMSCII on the Amstrad CPC. Since Logiker started the AMSCII compo in 2021, many great AMSCIIs have been created.
I was curious how AMSCII art graphics would look on a c64, so I wrote an exporter for the Playscii editor. The exporter creates an executable that displays the picture on a C64. It uses the original CPC charset, but finding the proper colors to display the picture is the main challenge. Generally, viewing the C64 version gives a softer version of the image compared to the CPC version. This graphics collection depicts 20 AMSCII images on the C64.
