Can't believe I haven't spotted this before. Very good work from Jailbird. Disturbing in a good way, and I appreciate the technique applied as well.

I still have problems with voting on csdb, but if I could you would get a full 10. This one is really good, and propably your best picture yet. Also, it proves that multicolor is enough. :)

I also think that this is one of the best Jailbird's pics. IFLI era was almost photo realistit but also blurred and more messy. This is true and precise pixelling where every pixel seems to have it's reason. A love from first sight. I wouldn't mind to see more of this style. Yumm!

I dig the original more as well, but the different c64 version is also very cool, esp. since it's so different from the original. Jailbird's best so far.

TDJ, you're full of crap. ;)

I realy like it that there's some new vibe going through the C64 gfx scene! Much more arty.
I hope this will reflect on the demo scene also!

Actually I feel that the demoscene has reached that level already for quite some time now, and it's nice to see the graphicians finally catching up ;)

Very nice, although I would have liked it more if you couldn't notice the details of the face as much as you can; I believe this piece would have benefitted from more abstraction. Now it's residing in some strange space inbetween emotional abstraction and abstracted figuration. The composition and the colors are really nice, and I like that the motive is breaking the borders. One of my favourite Jailbirds so far.

Lovely earthy shading and calming to look at - great work as always.

"Based on one of my older tempera paintings."

Well, I don't realy like the original, but the C64 one is great!
