Quoting EdI totally agree on you with the screendump thing. A lot of recent screens have looked ugly (ie. like interlace pictures)... Yeah, they were all like, pixelly and stuff! We should really discuss screenshots in a forum topic, right away! | User Comment Submitted by Ed on 22 December 2006

Thunder.Bird, I spent about 1 hour on it this morning, from 10:00 to 11:00. La Linea is great. I don't remember that Afrika demo. | User Comment Submitted by jailbird on 22 December 2006
Sorry Ed mate, no can do. I only steal funny jokes.
As for the picture, gosh I love it! It makes me even more happier on this weekend \:D/ Merry Scenemas! \:D/
PS: I'm glad the screenshot isn't too saturated this time! | User Comment Submitted by Thunder.Bird on 22 December 2006
It's cool! Simplistic technique but great effect. How long did you paint this one, mermaid?
Remember "La Linea" 2002 by Breeze? (La Linea 85%) How about a demo with this two techniques together? | User Comment Submitted by stash on 22 December 2006

I like the way the colors seem to escape the plastic layers of the outlines. It gives the image a rather loose but comforting look where the brush-mark provide vividness. The colors have been chosen with care and depth occurs with the black outlines. The scene has been set with an overall lighting where the characters cast little shadows. This is something of a classical Christmas piece, far from the golden, silvery, black- and white design trends in the life world. Here the trees are shaped like that of triangles, echoing more traditional and moral values with its connection to elderly design. The colors are not monochromatic and breaths warmth in the otherwise cold setting. A deer stands waiting for Santa Claus. Santa Claus calm looks, with a bit of a smile on his face and a red nose might imply hes been drinking or simply a sign of a hard nights work in the winter night. A Merry Christmas!
<edit> this was something of a joke = will Jailbird copy this text later? ... my small text concerning the picture on the other hand was not. Great stuff Mermaid, you made it through this server-failure day ;D </edit> | User Comment Submitted by Intensity on 22 December 2006
