This is the shittiest C64-"Release" i have ever seen...

W:E Rock!

...Here we have someone who cries over ripped art some bad demos and then makes some himself, just like the image shows this is just plain boring and pure scheisse.

Wow! This certainly is subjective (thank god). And I've never heard W:E live, although I saw the lot of their c64 prodz, which all in all ain’t "that bad".
I would guess there are quite some other groups worthy of this gift though.

W:E for teh win! ;-)
I know it's hard to believe, but these guys are actually REAL c64 fans! If they weren't, they wouldn't have stayed until the Democompo but left right away after the gig!...
I had good fun at their concert (as always) and chatting with them afterwards.. Although I still consider Honey's b/w-trousers hilarious! ;-)
And their scene-releases and contributions to Go64 speak for themselves...

Hmm... if that is all, why can't people just see this as a joke?
What a fuss about nothing... :-/

Maybe it's my weird danish humor, but I actually thought this was a tribute to W:E ...until I saw Bordeaux' first comment :)
People were yelling scheisse during the concert and W:E picked up pretty nicely on that I think. That was actually quite in the "spirit" of the party. (for those not attending, it seemed like everybody yelled scheisse all the time)
Anywho, I liked the concert.

So what is the background story to this picture anyway?
I was stuck in Sweden throughout the whole Oxyron party and missed a lot of stuff....

Oh and that animation that somebody had posted here before :P

Come on Bordeaux, maybe they're not your cup of tea, but leave it at that. Maybe they're shouting "Commodore 64" every five seconds, but so are we yelling "SCHEISSE!" all the time! :) They're no more stupid than the average scener.

PS: who deleted my nice picture? :)

sledge, who knows.. some people will certainly think so, which is fine with me.

Sorry for the bad-taste picture to those offended though. Next time i'll try to find a better/alternative outlet for this kind of frustration. (which still doesn't change my opinion though).

*edit* Vanja, spotted your message a bit late. You are probably quite right. see my remark above.

I personally tend to think that this sort of release, made just to put someone down, would backfire and generate more sympathy for the people someone is trying to express their distaste for - and make the person behind the production come across as a bit of a jerk in dire need of a hug. That's probably just me though. Love them or hate them, I don't think W:E are any more shitty than the majority of sceners out there. I actually quite like their music and the only one of the band members I've ever chatted with seemed like a genuinely nice person too.

yago, did not see their 'scene' products yet and found them on csdb.

Ok, so I stand corrected.. I don't only think they are shit performers now, but shit sceners too.

W:E are not sceners, because they shout something into a microphone, but because they visited several demoparties (as normal visitors, like i said), and released sids,music-collection etc

yago come on man.. that is bollocks!
I don't considder them sceners, however scener or not, I do not need someone shouting 'commodoooooooreee 64' as if it's a hype marketing word down a microphone every 5 seconds. It may sound strange to you maybe but it is exactly because I apreciate the scene and the c64 that much that this annoyes me like hell.

Oh FYI I actually went out smoking during most of the performance to avoid it and not disturb others who do enjoy it, but excuse me if i feel a need to express myself now.

I am also not a big W:E fan, but they are true sceners, coming also to parties just for fun, without concert etc
You should really think twice before dissing sceners, taste alone should not suffice

come on. you dont like them... but is it necessary to do this? for the organizers i can say that we were happy to have a wellknown band like them to play live at a 120ppl demoparty.

I agree.

Just plain stupid. Musically Welle:Erdball ain't my cup of tea either, but still one should be glad to have a well known live act at a scene party instead of releasing this infantile crap.

I have a bit mixed feelings about Welle:Erdball.. on one hand: their act was cool, on the other hand, the music wasn't the kind I was looking forward to hear live. still cool that you got them, though, I enjoyed playing Wizard Of Wor with one of the W:E guys :_)
