iAN, the problem is that you can't attach two competition results to one entry.
It's a CSDb 'feature' that you can only choose one event / achivement. | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 17 February 2010
I don't see what's wrong. The song competed in 2 compos, one time played from a c64, 2nd time played as mp3 and even won. Must have 2 entries. There are already lots of other songs competed in different compos and there's no problem about them, all I can see is that a mp3 is not really a c64 format, but can be considered as an extra dl for those who can't replay the sid on a real C64. | User Comment Submitted by Mace on 17 February 2010
...the thought crossed my mind.
PERFF!!! ;-) | User Comment Submitted by wacek on 17 February 2010
But then there's a problem, that a release cannot have 2 events attached to it :) | User Comment Submitted by Mace on 17 February 2010
Oh, heck, it's a dupe of Drop It!
Hmm, in that case, it would be better to merge both entries and add the MP3 story in the production note. | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 16 February 2010
all this fuss and was just needed to duplicate the link from the original release :P | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 16 February 2010
totally awesome that this won a mp3 compo btw :) | User Comment Submitted by Mace on 16 February 2010
I'm critical, not a butcher :)
This is definately a release, especially with the story behind it.
And you made it complete by adding the PRG. | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 16 February 2010
please add an executable for the tune.... i wont mind to keep this entry eventually.... :) | User Comment Submitted by wacek on 16 February 2010
This is a recording straight from C64, no additional work was done, just compressed to mp3. I gave it to a pc/amiga mp3 compo at this party, against lots of 'normal', 'professional' music entries, and to everyone's suprise, this pure SID track has won the compo.
For me, winning the crossplatform chip compo at a party with a SID track - that's nothing out of ordinary. But winning the mp3 compo... I thought this was kinda funny, so I decided to make an entry for it ;) If you want you can delete it, of course. I don't mind ;) | User Comment Submitted by Mace on 16 February 2010
If this was an MP3 release, how can it be a C64 release?
Sure, it was made with a C64, but is that enough? |
