very cool stuff :)
There is only one thing that I can't understand. The motto of Forever 2010 was "space".
I can't get how this one can be connected with space theme, especially when the banana is in use and there is no more space :) | User Comment Submitted by booker on 22 March 2010 User Comment Submitted by Radiant on 22 March 2010
Great technique! As for the subject, appealing to sexual frustration has always worked well in the scene, it seems. | User Comment Submitted by Deev on 21 March 2010
Jailbird: Fair enough. To me, the picture appears to suggest she either eats the banana, or she uses it as an ingredient in a nice banoffee pie to serve to her husband when he gets in from work. Of course she'll be putting some clothes on by then, she's naked after just giving birth to their 8th child (not seen in this image, it's part of a wide composition coming soon, similar to Leon's island) | User Comment Submitted by Leming on 21 March 2010
the pic implies that shes already sitting on one. That explains the weird hands syndrome. | User Comment Submitted by jailbird on 21 March 2010
@Deev: why would it be degrading towards women, you have a very dirty mind, mister!
There are various uses for bananas! F.e. make a face mask, tenderize a roast, polish silverware and leather shoes, brighten up houseplants, deter aphids, use as fertilizer or mulch, making compost, attract butterflies and birds. Maybe she's about to shine her shoe? | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 21 March 2010
c'mon guys, let's call a brave approach to the matter ;) not many works depict masturbating woman and, what is more, present it in such subtle and, at the same time, quite amusing way. sebaloz did it quite a long time but, undoubtedly, without such a grace :D | User Comment Submitted by Soren on 21 March 2010
Deev: I heard they stick pineapples in there ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Deev on 21 March 2010
the body is very well pixelled (although the hands look a bit odd), but to be honest I find it really tacky, childish...and without wanting to sound overly PC...pretty degrading towards women. Do girls go around putting bananas in there? I doubt it somehow... | User Comment Submitted by The Shadow on 21 March 2010
Use and then eat. No need to waste a banana ;) | User Comment Submitted by FATFrost on 21 March 2010
Lovely colour in this picture, but Leon I prefer your original compositions compared to the reference materials. (The bananas look like they are from a different artist) | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 21 March 2010
ya nitpickers. bear in mind that leon surely drew it upon a photo thus perspective is probably faithful to the original. hand of this woman could be slightly bent for example - fingers lean against surface and are shortened by the perspective etc. :P | User Comment Submitted by Madhead on 21 March 2010
well it looks like a woman. arms, wrists, waist, belly button... and i think the thing she holds with her left or right hand is a mans hand who uses that banana :) | User Comment Submitted by Mr. Mouse on 21 March 2010
Who said it was a woman? The person is obviously holding something with his or her left hand. Curious place to be holding something. | User Comment Submitted by Madhead on 21 March 2010
great picture but there's something odd with woman's fingers. too short??? or, since there are no nails, you can say that middle and ring fingers looks like dipped into somewhere (no, they're not even close to there:) ) | User Comment Submitted by Motion on 21 March 2010
'Use and Eat' would be far more PC, in this eco-friendly, waste-not, want-not, society. Great skin tones - really good!
