@Stainless The tune is a cover of a tune from Donkey Kong Country, the under water level(s).
I asked Richard if he could cover it. Less than 24hrs later he dropped the tune.
I'm not sure what process he used - the results are impressive given the time scale.

The tune rates as one of my fav tunes on the Snes.

It would be interesting to see what Jeff could pull from the Sid if he were to convert the tune. His Mario convertions sounded excellent.

Smooth scroll BARNEY available here: BARNEY - Redux'd [seuck]
Admittedly, the in game title screen was dropped to make room for the extra code.

Ok, i dont know the original music. But WHAT THE FUCK Richard actually made something I like. A few bumps and the lead is drawn out a bit too long in some places. But still, Good work Richard.

Very nice gfx. But really guys. Get some custom code.

I didn't look up the codes but SEUCK engine must be wasting a lot of cycles not required by your game. That's why writing your own game code wins. Other than the scrolling bugs, it's a promising game.

@Richard

Cool, yeah I forgot it was a Sideways SEUCK game. Maybe you'll want to sometime redux the redux to expand its bitmap options. Better yet, you guys could sometime code your own game maker from scratch with parallax effects a la Sub Hunter.

Cool! But restarts after woman with balls in her hands appears - why

Also fire button does not work. I need it to make another ways through rocks.

And i can't jump over the water to eat something.

Rest is cool.

@Darth Plagueis

Sadly Sideways SEUCK has always been like this. Maybe I should import the game into the SEUCK redux source for a flicker free game. Unfortunately I don't think that I would be able to include the whole of bitmap pic into the SEUCK redux source, the same way I did for this version.

Yeah...and the music's good too. Is this a beta though? When running in PAL mode it seems like there is a lot of scroll related flicker, and several chars flickering intermittently in the top left corner of the char screen.

NICE! I just loooove the tape loader :) Reminds me of back in the days when waiting for a good game to load.

The Barney title screen looks very neat! I like that it gives a good 3D feeling. Good usage of colors.

Graphics are of high quality. I like that. And the sound and music are great.

The game play I think is a bit boring. But maybe this is a WIP?
