After our controlport dance mat finally had been fixed, our guests had lots of fun at BCC#9 with this :D

Thx a lot!

You can use any controller that behaves like a normal joystick. So you could get a cheap dance mat, remove all the electronics, and connect the switches directly to a DB9 plug.

Does it works with PSX64 only?Or can I take a different controller??

Oh, and lft: Really nicely done, this! 8) Do you feel like making a proper guitar hero clone? the Shredz64 one leaves much to be desired (e.g. a fucking fast loader!) and could look and feel so much nicer! ;-) I'd volunteer for GFX if you need any!

We tried to get this to work with the Shredz64/PSX64 interface on Saturday, to no avail!... It would react to the buttons on the mat, but not a single-press but repeatedly! Maybe the interface is in that "non-guitarcontroller" macro mode? How can we find out if there are macros preprogrammed? Bieno64, care to share what you did to make it work? 8)

I've uploaded the sid file here, to keep everything in one place. When the HVSC update is out, feel free to delete the uploaded copy.

Bieno: only the known sid tunes are listed, the missing menu tune and other subtunes by lft will be added in HVSC58, and after the update will be applied also here on CSDb, I will add the new file link
edit: done

Sorry but, what is the menu intro song of the game?

Thanks for the nice comments! I didn't design it specifically for the shredz64 interface (because I don't have one), so it's great to see reports that it works.

This is absolutely amazing, well executed and such a great idea! It would've killed at X!

This is definitely not oldschool :/
But at least finally a dance game with *our* favourite tunes. Well done.

Amazing! Rhythm-games are totally underrepresented for the machine with the best music around :)

Now. How do I mod my psx-mat to work with the c64? Is the synthetic dreams converter kit the best option here?

I really look forward to have the entire family bouncing to this at x-mas holidays :)
