Ah so it's some bad init in the game that randomly fucks up depending on where the raster beam is at the moment it's run. Loading from a t64 and from d64 changes how much time it's passed between the load and run.

After doing some more testing I see that it is a strange issue with many of the releases of this game. It's extremely rare when it happens which is right when you start the game. I updated the screenshot to show the issue. The mountains for whatever reason rarely start out like the screenshot.

The prg extracted from the old, now deleted, t64 and the new d64 are byte identical. I don't know of what graphic corruption you're talking about and how this d64 can be possibly any better.

Old file removed because of graphics corruption. New clean file uploaded. Old file had 114 downloads
