hmm quite ok (first, overall look is interesting) , but...
..just a nice photo, repainted with lots of issues (impossible anatomy, perspective, light etc)
so i dont understand this hype
much better is cybortech version - but it smells like retouched convert tho..
just mho
peace

I can only fully agree with PAL. An outstanding picture that shows a real person. With so few pixels and colours it conveys a whole character. And even an interesting one, it is not the usual "look at this babe" picture.
I once ripped some ninja gfx from Levy and was surprised to see there were unseen pixels, but these unseen pixels where not even useless, because if you switched the image to hires they would make sense. I always wondered what could be the reason behind this. Anyway, Robin Levy, you are a genius.

I don't believe my eyes , the master himself is back to town "ROBIN LEVY" , one of my childhood c64 heros with amazing gfx works that look (back then) like god himself had created. everybody knows him so i am more than happy for his comeback. and by the way: another piece of art from him. i want more !! who's next will come back to c64? maybe Rob Hubbard? LOL

Wow, the master's back! Face and hair really are stunning pixelwork, the neck looks somewhat wrong, though.. Hope to see more from you, Robin! ;-D P.S: The *best* thing about this is PAL's reaction to it! His sheer enthusiasm and joy for this pic just drips from your screen! ;-D

i try to figure out what she radiates:,
she is a natural beautyful and powerful young woman,
but traumatized, very sensitive and vulnerable..

i hate that sadness in your eyes...

this is a really beautyful picture,

@PAL: if it appears so real, then maybe it is just a retouched convert? :-) *duck*

Mase: I would like to have a signed version because I really think my original photography of david bowie, Iggy Pop and lou reed taken and signed by mick rock is so special as I love it and the fact that david bowie has the same original photograph signed by mick on his wall in his home and that there is only 25 of those in the whole wide spread world... to me to get a signed version of Levys image on the wall would be the same, and knowing that he will too have it in the frame I put on it in his home would rule for me, there will be only two of those is insane cool and a fat bonus for me... call me a fool, I do not care because I am often called a lamer, making shit or less or too much or wrong or such... but this image is something I really would love to have in that way with his signing and in super cool framing. Despite the fact that Levy is a hero of mine and a life changer in the way I really decided to do my professional life... I love that image! It is really one of few that I really like so much, it is just a matter of taste maybe, but I meen that this is beyond the most artists on the c64 and if all do not agree I do not really care... this is pixel perfect in my mind, just not the shadow on the wall there, that is my only dislike to put it like that... but you know what? if he wants to keep it there in a final too, I would accept that because he is the artist and I am just the viewer and I love this image! It is just so! Emotions like this is so rear... and I do not care if you made this image in fli or what the hell teq... this is the shit... simple, perfect and just insane fat and super splendid for me! Professional and so great! One of the best images on the c64 ever for me, and to do that in 3 colors, well for me it is just beyond me... it is really so much better... in my eyes! MAN, look at her eye hair... just another splendid perfection thing in the image... every bit is so great here... on a c64, 3 colors.... fuck me in the ass, this is the best!

Ha! Why would you want it signed if only the content of the picture mattered to you? ;) Seriously though fair enough since you put it like that, I wish more people would elaborate a little instead of giving an anonymous vote. Point taken :)

When I see the skin and expression of this it is just so great in 3 colors and to me it is a 10! But by all means... a lot of others have done fantastic images not that, but for me this one really hit a nerve in me and I can almost feel she is real, or for me she is real and she has lived and there are much emotions in it... And do see that the skin is not all young even it is so few colors and almost monocromic in a way because of the great use of light gray, but still some small pixels here and there make her skin so full of the wear of time or hard life or something disturbing? ...maybe it is just the time in my life where this one really hit me in a way... I think an imags that can make me think and feel like I did see this deserves a 10 from me... no matter the name of the artist!

Edit I: Just look at that mouth, few artists on the c64 would make the mouth that way with just the contour like that... it is blizz!

Edit II: look at the light and the dark cool shadow going through her, like you were teached in art school to make it more real more than reality itself.

Edit III: Look at the hair, one color amazement!

Edit IV: look at her neck... man, just that and it make her so human or not plastic.

Edit V: Look at the muscles and bones... it is real.

Edit VI: look at her face... it is a real woman... it is not a jerkoff c64 nerd doing this... it is so powerful...

EDIT VII: I think most of us can learn from this one, it is not about fli or most pixeled colors into a char... this is the real deal... fuck all... this is outstanding, do you not see this? am I insane?

I WANT IT ON MY WALL, SIGNED!

@PAL I guess that's directed at my comment, I wasn't talking about you in particular. I just saw that a lot of people had voted it with a 10 score which seemed like upvoting just because it was a Robin Levy piece without judging it on it's own merits, and I wasn't taking the piss I really am a fan of his work too (and yours for that matter), but I am able to take a step back and call it as I see it. I wonder if this was done by someone else whether it would get such a high score for unfinished work? hmmm. I've seen better that are truly deserved of 10's all the way that's all.

I LOVE THIS! Can I say so without anyone telling me that I am a fanboy or a brownhole licker? Can I say that and you say what you mean without me telling you that you suck in life and sit alone and make up such silly things because you have nothing else to do in your life and you not telling me that I am a fanboy? Hope so because it is really annoying!

I think this is a 10 and I think it is better than most other graphics I have seen the last times... I really honnestly think so... and it is a unfiniched work from him.... go make better pixels and show them in demos or whatever!

Yes I felt very hit by that fanboy comment, I am a person and love what I do and also quality work!

I don't worship you so I'm a bit more objective :) I don't think this is a very special picture, it's an ok picture for me.
The only thing that bugs me a bit is the black eye, it looks unfinished.

Lots of sycophants here, 10's? I mean come on really? I know it's Robin Levy but how about a bit of objective critisism.
BTW I love you Robin and I want your babies, Ignore everyone else I'm your number one fan... ahem!

Robin Levy was my childhood hero (well, at least in a computer hero sense!). Before I'd seen a demo it was all about the games graphics and whilst I loved the work of guys like Bob Stevenson and (a little later on) Steve Rowlands, Robin was always my "favourite" (plus I would still rate Armalyte as my all time favourite C64 game). All of the things I was making in my bedroom back then were massively influenced by his style. He's done better than this, but it's, of course, nicely pixelled and great to see some previously unseen work from him.

I do not know... man you were the best and you still are! You were a large reason for me just dearing, or not to dear, to paint... you were so good back in the days and I just felt people like you and some others (like STE) were so great that one could not ever do justice... but you know what? You made me dear and I am so happy for that, you inspired me so much and a whole lot of other people to just do something, to make something out of our talents. Thanx for that!

About this image, I can not really say anything than your absolutely minimum usage of pixels do the image so incredible great... I just love it... It is fantastic! the sharp edges and contrasts and the defined overal lines and just execution on another level... man you are the best! joho... 3 colors... lol... 10/10!

PS: can you alter the image and take away the squareish shadow on the wall there I would think it is absolutely over the top and an 11! And if you make one, I will make a fine print of it in 2 copys and you can have one of them if you like... I can even frame it and ship it to you! Because I want that myself on my livingroom wall!

PSS: if you could sign my copy I would just love that!
