1st release ... it seems that is the only thing that nowadays cares in the c64 scene life. Just the high quality stuff that Nostalgia release seems to have a bit of interest more than the efforts that GP, TRIAD, LAXITY, HF, AVATAR and the other active ones provide - dox, original cover, maps, HS saver, trainers, fixed, pics, ntsc:pal fix for oldies but good. If the rulez says never released it's a 1st release we should take it as it comes. If not let's clean all the other active cracking groups and let's keep just ONSLAUGHT, LAXITY & Genesis Project on few titles - they are the ones who still release 0 day c64 stuff. And what these mighty group receive back not money, few thanks and overall downvotes!
IMHO if it wasn't released it's a new one. Even if coded in 1984! Jumping to movie releases on the big screen there are movies made i.e. on 2009 and released on the big one in 2012 (it's old? no it's new -- never seen be4!)
Back to this game I've played it back then as other q-clonez as well. So I have it among my heap of crappy disks. I don't remember if it was a copy of the original or a cracked one. It was funny I snail mail received lots of uncracked stuff from the states produced in europe and then cracked 10 days later or so. If a past-crack was not spread and nobody knows about it, we have no memories of it so we are not sure that all the old stuff was released yet.
As an end user I'm really happy of what I can get today. A big thanx to who is still enjoying and providing better stuff of the past. As a collector I've always kept all the cracks just for the fun of the intro and different way to release. This is the scene from the beginning until the end!

Nice one mates!
Also quite pleasing to see the amount of emotions, discussion and food for thought ATA releases always seem to bring to our scene.
Keep it up!
Cheers! | User Comment Submitted by Doc Strange on 1 March 2013
I personally think we really should add a clear note on the release standards section about what is considered a first release or not. Defining that aspect, we will avoid arguments. | User Comment Submitted by Fungus on 1 March 2013
Hoxy, don't miss interpret what I say please. Finding missing games and releasing them is a great thing to do. We have done so in nostalgia too. I just pointed out that it shouldn't be considered a first release and surely someone released it before. It doesn't matter if scene group released it or not, in 1984 the scene was barely even a scene and was just mostly disjointed people trading games.
Also try to remember that Moloch and I, and many others were a hell of a lot meaner back then too, so careful what you say. This time I won't take it personally, but you can be sure, back then, you would have been shit stomped ;) | User Comment Submitted by The Overkiller on 1 March 2013
The game is old, and surely someone did a copy of it in the past. The hot point is if a cracker or a group did a "scene release" of it before. Until now seems no one did, so at my eyes it counts as a #1, if another scene related version pops up from the past then automatically this one won't be a #1. | User Comment Submitted by Moloch on 1 March 2013
@Urban Space Cowboy - nah, i'll keep it here until the thread is cleaned up ;)
@Hoxy - Your rantings about bullies don't affect my life whatsoever. Enjoy your Friday! | User Comment Submitted by Hoxy on 1 March 2013
It would be a very strange world if big words only can come from people with scene history.
And remember, you're not a big bully, just someone with a mental disorder.
Actually I also thought that bully is a very negative word these days, so tagging yourself as one seems a bit strange.
Well, it's your life, have fun. | User Comment Submitted by Moloch on 1 March 2013
@Hoxy - Big words for a nobody in the scene (paymember?!) and just a few messages before crying for your momma to help you from the big bullies. :D
"Thanks Mommy, I'll go give them some RAWR! RAWR!, that will fix them!"
Overheard on IRC "paying for avatar-membership.. now THAT sounds like a serious disorder =D" | User Comment Submitted by Hoxy on 1 March 2013
@moloch
I would have mauled narcissistic fools like you into the ground, so just be thankful I wasn't there. I was very angry and aggressive in those days, not even you would have stood a chance.
The years have taught me better, especially they have taught me not to feel anger towards people like you. People that really isn't responsible for their behaviour because of illness.
Scene fights might be fun, but your comments has nothing to do with scene fights. They are just ramblings from someone with a mental disorder.
I really find it sad since I have read many posts from you here and on Lemon that shows that you possess great knowledge. A great person diminished by a personality disorder.
I really wish you the best. | User Comment Submitted by Moloch on 1 March 2013
@Hoxy - Don't start crying, toughen up a bit young pup! With your wimpy attitude you wouldn't have survived more than a few months in the real scene. | User Comment Submitted by Hoxy on 1 March 2013
So in other words, I shouldn't waste my time training these old games?
Since moloch and fungus mostly seems to enjoy badmouthing at the drop of a hat I guess some new blood in the community isn't very welcome and I should find myself a new hobby. | User Comment Submitted by Fungus on 1 March 2013
30 years old games, released or not, are not first releases. I am quite sure someone copied the rom from this and spread it around somewhere back in the day even if no group or single cracker claimed it. I have seen it before somewhere though, I remember these sprites. | User Comment Submitted by Moloch on 1 March 2013
@Lynx - Yep, their money slave Hoxy
On a side note, how is it truly possible to say these ancient games have never been cracked? I also doubt that a game from 1984 is a first release. If this release is counted then we know exactly how pathetic the c64 wares scene is. | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 1 March 2013 User Comment Submitted by Lynx on 1 March 2013
I think,i know who outbid me on this and the other game from Handic
