Jon kindly added this comment and I'm curious how much this helps:
"Forgot to mention I'm using a cool drawing tool called Multipaint:

Nice! If you keep up with those 2nd line things, you will, just as I did find that dithering is very joyful | User Comment Submitted by WHW on 8 September 2017

"I was browsing the titlescreens archive here on Lemon64, and, feeling like producing some 8-bit artwork, I thought it might be a nice project to 'freshen' some of them up.
I set myself some rules - no 'cheating', for one. So, no tracing over coverscans or simply re-colouring existing artwork using a palette reduction tool. All my screens will be drawn by eye, using the old "grid transfer" method - pretty much the same as I would've done back in the 80s, albeit using Google to find reference material. I'll post a few pics to show the method if anyone's interested.
Strangely, whilst doing this one, I discovered the original was done by a friend of mine, Ivan Davies."
It's a re-work of the existing loading screen (note Moscow and Chicago for the background rather than just Chicago as in the original film poster and loading screen). From the post the guy states his screens are not wired but placing a grid over the reference image and copying it piece-meal. | User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 8 September 2017
re-image means from scratch or manually fix over the wired gfx ? |
