@Hein: As you may have noticed, yes! And I shipped 100 of them last Friday :D | User Comment Submitted by Hein on 6 December 2017
Great. Missed it before. Hope you get enough reservations to produce the FM-Yam cartridge. | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 17 November 2017 User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 16 November 2017
Love your tech and perfect fm/sid blend! Musical content is a bit of mixed bag imho but has great moments ;) | User Comment Submitted by Mr. Mouse on 16 November 2017
FM-YAM is our SFXSE-based FM sound cartridge under development.
Since it is designed for the combination of SID and FM music channels, I needed a tune to test the balance of both chips.
I took my 20 year old tune CQ (Casu Quo) that I composed using Fasttracker 2, and re-composed it specifically for FM-YAM.
Tools used:
- Commodore 64 (Reloaded Mk1) with 8580 selected in SIDFX.
- Edlib (PC music tracker for Adlib)
- Goattracker (for SID channels)
- FM-YAM prototype cartridge (with YM3812 on board)
- My Edlib 2.01 music player code (see Vibrants FM for a copy).
- Relauch64 as IDE (for the demo)
- KickAss to compile (for the demo)
Check the YT video for the sound of the FM-YAM.

Better still, get the MP3 here:

You can play it using an emulator though, that suppors the SFX Sound Expander cartridge. Be sure to select the YM3812 chip. |
