Cool that it runs on a real c64. You may be able to save one more byte by using the basic line number:
3192sys2051
Then SEI plus some other stuff is executed before $080b. | User Comment Submitted by Copyfault on 9 April 2018
@iAN CooG:sorry, you're so right about further information on how to correctly run this. Went late yesterday and had to start a business trip early today, so I planned to wait until I have a net connection again.
I added a small comment to the prod notes. Hope it's ok now.
Ah and thx for doing a screendump;) | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 9 April 2018
I don't see it specified in any way, I just loaded with x64 Font-o-holics.d64 so it's autoloading "*" with ,8,1
Anyway after
load"$",8
list
then load + ,8,1 around the filename
(clear screen)
run
I finally managed to make it work. | User Comment Submitted by Copyfault on 9 April 2018
@iAN CooG: Did you use load"*",8 ? You need to load the file with the complete filename in the load-command.
If this still ends up in a JAM-opcode, I'd be highly interested in the setup. I tried it with and without catridge so I'm a bit confused now :( | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 9 April 2018 User Comment Submitted by Copyfault on 9 April 2018
@lft: sticking to a prg-file will be somewhat tricky I guess.
I would have loved if you changed the rules in a way that (mis)using the filename is admitted as long as it is executable on real hw. But then again I get the point, as one could store extremly large code parts in a tape filename.
After all it's for fun. If I get this =<30 bytes, it would at least be pleasing to be as good as (or even better) than the existing pure filename-approach ;) | User Comment Submitted by lft on 9 April 2018
Very cool approach!
Like you say, it breaks the filename rule. But it also breaks one of the rules in the original announcement ("The entry should be uploaded in .prg format"). |
