Didn't discover this release until today, apparently missed it back in 2018. Truly essential.

Like Trinity before it, the original Bureaucracy never activates fast mode. I have a vague memory of these little infocom fast-mode anomalies being discussed in the distant past on boards, but no one in my immediate circle took charge.

In Trinity's case, the "issue" seemed borne of pure laziness. Sloppy work, no attention to the crap they dumped on VIC-II side. In Beyond Zork, it seems they really needed fast mode but they ran into some ignorance on proper setup. With Bureaucracy, feels more like a 'we wish to keep the tidy 80-column requirement text' visible on VIC-II screen at all times. .. Maybe this was their way to cut down on possible RMAs? .. =)
