With regard to instruments I really just choose the sounds that I can make that fit with the music. I can see your point although I don’t really agree as I am not really trying to push the boundaries of what is possible with the SID chip, but rather, trying to write the best tunes I can.

I like your music Saul, let's get that out of the way first. :) But your sound set is aged and samey with every game. For me it distracts too much. It also may lead to the music being too similar for each game.

TBH I like the instruments as I have them, I think a fat filter on the bass would detract a bit from the brittle icy feel and I also, already use the filter across everything to create a subtle phasing effect so it would not really be possible to have both. But thanks for the feedback.

Nice tunes! Maybe instruments could be a bit better. F.i. some fat filter on bass and arps.

Saul Cross: Your tunes make me happy. Your use of instruments and filter settings, which seem to work very well for any chip (I think). Melodic richness, compositional strength! Very nice to always listen to something new from you!

Music from the latest Activision conversion by Tony Savona. Title tune and jingles are 3 voices while in game tune is 2. Please note the last sub-tune is left intentionally empty.
