Interesting tune. Reminds me a little bit on the sound-FX of some Atari VCS-2600 games. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 11 January 2021
Very daring, however didn't click with me that much to get a straight 10 from me :) | User Comment Submitted by w4rp8 on 11 January 2021
Thanks, guys!
@GH: this was actual the testtune after implementing 1/64 note scale into the editor.
Anyway, I hit some walls when discovering the importance of dejittering the writes into the sid-registers.
My preview is still at one atomic write per update at the ~800Hz vs. the vic-driven irq in the c64 player.
Nice sounding waveforms could be badly detuned just by that difference.
Added some waitcycles now in each 2nd update in the 16x player to compensate a bit. But for best result it would probably better with timer based and dejittered writes at stable positions.
Wondering actually how precise other players handle their 16x updates. | User Comment Submitted by GH on 10 January 2021
16x gives longer patterns so you can add more...leads to nice build-up would have liked some more transient shaping becoz of de 16x. looses bite, nice one tho | User Comment Submitted by G-Fellow on 9 January 2021
Crazy electronic beat. It's not bad. | User Comment Submitted by Eric Dobek on 8 January 2021
