Oswald: Checking for some/minimal modelling of r/w head inertia and retaining rotational angle on track steps.
Different drive vs computer CPU clocking is emulated quite well these days, and a timer is just used for checking. :)

interesting, some VIA timer checks I'd guess, or compare drive cpu speed with main cpu ?
