LOLed when looking at the PLKs.

PLK is infamous for "Postlagerkarte". You simply had to go to a "Postamt" back then and ask for it. It was the cheaper version of a "Postfach".
It would simply advise the Post to store and keep incoming sendings at the Post until someone with authorization - the PLK card - would come and fetch the stored stuff.
Back to the cards. Local "Postämter" would hand them out. They were simply paper cards, in light pink colour at my place, much like poker cards, for example. They had continuous numbers. That's why the featured screenshot here shows ascending numbers.
So I imagine three dudes going to the "Postamt" and each asking for a PLK. Very gangster-like back then, this is how you started your professional trading career back then. 馃槄
