| Section 8 helped set the stage for the evolution of the C64. Some of the first warez on my BBS were from this group. I did not know any of them but they were well respected as early pioneers in the software cracking world. |

You´re right. There were two Section 8 groups.
The origin was active between 1983-1985. They were called "Reset-Cracker". I think in the mid-90s, a new S8 was formed, but had nothing to do with the origin. I met Wizzler from the new fraction this summer and he confirmed that nobody of the new group knows anyone from the origin. It´s the same with Flash Cracking Group or the Bitstoppers as much as Eaglesoft which wasn´t found by Mitch & By-Tor. They only took over in 1985! |
