How low is the latency with this..?
Would indeed be a good alternative to hardSID. | User Comment Submitted by insane on 28 June 2007
If anybody dares to improve on this:
the sourcecode is included in the dawork.synchronus.de download link

yeah , true , I don't deny that if you need midi support then original Hardsid is great, actually at some point I felt lack of midi support in this fake-driver but it's great for goat tracker for example :) and another things is that I'm too poor to just buy original hardsid .. | User Comment Submitted by Scout on 23 July 2006
"why buy hardsid for 100E if you can have all the functionality except MIDI for few euros?"
Well, I bought my HardSID Quattro for that MIDI functionality!
Besides that, excellent software, drivers for XP and OS-X and brilliant support by Teli Sandor.
IMO, those euro's were well spent.
Anyway, nice to see more SID hardware experiments. | User Comment Submitted by Raf on 23 July 2006

I nearly forgot - to use it under windows XP you have to use USERPORT for example (avaiable in star commander tweak package at http://sta.c64.org) and enter hex range of your LPT port, on win95-2000 it works w/o any additional playing with settings |
