yeah , true , I don't deny that if you need midi support then original Hardsid is great, actually at some point I felt lack of midi support in this fake-driver but it's great for goat tracker for example :) and another things is that I'm too poor to just buy original hardsid ..

Well, I bought my HardSID Quattro for that MIDI functionality!
Besides that, excellent software, drivers for XP and OS-X and brilliant support by Teli Sandor.
IMO, those euro's were well spent.

Anyway, nice to see more SID hardware experiments.

why buy hardsid for 100E if you can have all the functionality except MIDI for few euros? :)

I nearly forgot - to use it under windows XP you have to use USERPORT for example (avaiable in star commander tweak package at http://sta.c64.org) and enter hex range of your LPT port, on win95-2000 it works w/o any additional playing with settings
