| this was one of them game i did a cartridge freeze of from the orginal cassette version. i remember i got that fucked up screen you see here... maybe someone did a cartridge freeze on the turbotape version, to get it on disk?... if not i suspect zyron is rigth about the reset-cracks... |

@Zyron: could be, the game starts at $8000 and fiddles around with the memory, though I haven't analyzed what it really does, just had a quick peek at it right now...
according to basic line it also was cracked in 1985, so I changed that also...
edit: must be a bad crack, the CRM version could be restarted after reset at $8000 and title screen doesn't get corrupted! |

@Zyron: my thought also.
Like the many Big Trouble in Little China cracks with borked intro screen because it required the color memory to be left over from the loader. |

| I could be totally wrong here & I haven't got time to look into the game right now but I suspect that the title screen gets corrupt when you reset the game so the fucked up versions might be reset-cracks. |

Fact is most version I've seen of Track & Field have that fucked up title screen.
My guess is that both this version by JOEY & the version by Florasoft origins from the same crack, so both are recracks. |

I only remembered the broken title screen and FSW, so I thought that was their version... but after those posts today I saw that JOEY...
so I have changed the creditz to him now...
but still the question who recracked which version? Joey -> FSW or FSW -> Joey ?? |

yep, very strange... but according to the screenshot it must be the JOEY version and not the Florasoft crack, as I (and Skylab) thought about the broken title screen...
for sure we haven't cracked this one as I have already stated in my first comment, just connected to 1 part...
should I change creditz to JOEY for crack?? or did JOEY recrack the Florasoft version?? hmmm???! |
