Quote:"Unfortunately real 1351 mouse doesn't work yet. The cursor wanders restlessly around on its own, plotting works."
Most likely this happens by also drawing bit0 into account (it just represents noise), or by being reading potx/y short after keyboard scan. The pot inputs go over an 4066 analog switch chip. During keyboard scan they are cut off and it needs around 1,6ms to recover the lines again and have a valid result available in potx/y. So best is to do teh mouse scan just before the keyboard scan each frame. Then you are on the very save side. All that is also written in the c1351 docs. | User Comment Submitted by Twoflower on 17 October 2007
Wow! Eventhough IFLI isn't really my cup of tea this tool didn't arrive a minute too early. Actually, the reason I haven't been working in IFLI is solely because all editors, so far, have sucked bigtime. | User Comment Submitted by Deev on 17 October 2007
Finally got round to having a go with this. It definately seems nice, I'm sure it's now the number one choice of C64 based IFLI editors (I won't miss those Funpaint bugs!).
One addition that I think would be useful (if you're taking requests for the future :) ), is the ability to draw in a dithered mode. For example, if you draw a straight line in the zoom mode, it would only set every alternate pixel, if you move up a line it would do the same but setting the opposite pixels. This would save lots of time imo. | User Comment Submitted by vedos on 17 October 2007
Micromys PS/2 Mouse Adapter support and a fresh batch of adapters from Protovision would be very nice. :)
It seems Prophet64 supports Micromys adapters: http://www.prophet64-forum.com/viewtopic.php?id=202
Maybe you should ask firestARTer for some info and maybe you guys could pressure Protovision to make some more adapters. Three buttons and mouse wheel. o_O | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 16 October 2007 User Comment Submitted by Mäestro AmN on 15 October 2007

Thanks for the comments...
@Archmage: good to hear, I didn't know you're into interlace modes too. :) So you do have a 1351? Would be nice to hear if it works for you on the real hw, as Jackasser already told me Vice emulation is not the best. :(
@Saehn: I will consider ntsc support, but don't expect it too soon. I checked it under vice in ntsc mode, the turbo load/save doesn't work (how would I find a relocateable and short turbo save/load routine for ntsc? it must work from $4000-$ffff and support load address overwriting etc...) and ofcourse the ifli displayer is now totally out of control. Surprisingly, all other stuff seems ok, even the ide64 support.
@Jailbird: I had to release it to get rid of the pressure you put me under with your poem. Remember "Klarensz, kerlek, irta Csisztai Arnold Jailbird verse"? :)) | User Comment Submitted by leonofsgr on 14 October 2007
I'm happy to see Pixel Perfect released. Thank you for the fast work, Clarence! Hopefully other artist will even notice that this util with its extra functions deservs the best graphical application title on the C64. The example graphic can be found here. Happy pixelling for everyone! I'm waiting for your kickass ifli pictures!

Yes.. nice one! I will try it out tomorrow... Thanks for the release! | User Comment Submitted by jailbird on 14 October 2007
So nice to see this released! Unfortunately I'm still buried with real life troubles and didn't managed to set a single pixel in it but I'm very eager to put my hands the editor. Thank you Clarence! \:D/
Eagerly waiting from some pixels from Archmage, yeah! \:D\ /:D/ \:D\ /:D/ | User Comment Submitted by HCL on 14 October 2007
Looks like greatness to me. Respect to Clarence!! This is the kind of tool that should have been there long time ago, but then people started to make PC-tools instead.. totally soul-less ;). Lovely!! | User Comment Submitted by saehn on 14 October 2007
Wow, very cool... I actually didn't realize that IFLI allowed so many colors, since I've always just used DrazLace (MCI, the highest I think I can go with NTSC). Speaking of, any chance of an NTSC version? Please? :o) | User Comment Submitted by Archmage on 14 October 2007
Way cool! I'll definitely give this a go! Thanks a lot to Clarence, Leon, Jailbird and the others for this! Also big hug for including C1351-support (even if it is experimental). Makes the transition to the real thing easier for an old dusty Amiga-pixeller. | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 14 October 2007
