DAF was on Arvikafestivalen this year. It was lovely. They played alot of the old stuff... I loved it :) | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 8 July 2009
Just a reflection: I have seldom seen the users on CSDb being in so little agreement on how to vote on stuff as when it comes to Fredrik's tunes. Doesn't seem to be the "either you love it or you hate it" type of situation either.. Just an even distribution of votes... | User Comment Submitted by Turtle on 8 July 2009
As a fan of DAF since the beginnings I apreciate your effort to cover this one although there are several other songs of them which I'd like to hear on SID. So I'm glad you did something I won't do in the next decades for sure.
DAF is cult and you did a great job with this cover. | User Comment Submitted by Tim on 30 June 2009
8/10 from me..
but -in all honnesty- only after seeing the link Magervalp provided because it's an improvement on the original.
Man.. probably offending all D.A.F. fans.. but oh my god that is so awefull :P | User Comment Submitted by Fredrik on 30 June 2009
Yes, Stainless, it sounds like Bubble Bobble :)
I actually laught a lot to that comment, because it´s so true.
Sorry for my bad english.

The tempo in my cover is a little faster that the original, but I could not get the same tempo in the tracker. The step between speed 6 (as there is now) and the speed 7 (witch is the slower) is too large.

Makes me think of Bubble Bobble. | User Comment Submitted by Jucke on 30 June 2009
Thumbs up Fredrik, your best cover so far! I like it. | User Comment Submitted by Mactron on 30 June 2009

I hear no false tones. Pretty good cover, very close to the original. | User Comment Submitted by MagerValp on 29 June 2009 User Comment Submitted by Fredrik on 29 June 2009
Please listen to the original.
DAF has that kind of style and synth sound. To stretch the tunes, to the limit, so it is near false.
I tried to make the sid as close as possible.

are false tones present in the original? | User Comment Submitted by Fredrik on 29 June 2009
Some info about the original record:
Alles ist gut is the third album by the electropunk/NDW band D.A.F. from Düsseldorf, Germany. It was released in 1981 and was the band's first album on the British Virgin label.
The album Alles ist gut received the German "Schallplattenpreis" award by the "Deutsche Phono-Akademie", an association of the German recording industry.
