I forgot to credit myself with the quote at the beginning of the scrolltext. It was inspired (while listening to Richard's tune) by thinking about how nostalgic cracktros and miracles of cracking/coding of our past and past heroes, often become emotional motivation for us to get off our asses and do things today, which are equal to or greater than the glories of days past. I liked the rhetoric, and it was inspirational to me...and hopefully at least a few others.

I'm not really a big fan of the marquee-scroll, as I think it can enable lazy fuckers who would rather just read it on the CSDb and leave it, rather than downloading and enjoying it on the real 64 or at least an emu. I understand this is really out of my control, and you can only avoid stupidity, never fully control it. I think though, in this case, I'm glad there's a marquee up there, since I took the time to write a halfway decent text here.

YES!! Fuck Bush!! Let me clear things up here... What I was pointing out and this is because I am a OLD dude... All of the countless NTSC dudes I have ran into in my years (and going by your profile stretching back to 88 so you gotta be pretty old also??) I have NEVER seen ANY of them refer to distance as in KM... Nothing to do with the Goverment, has to do with the school system that everyone went to back then.. Again because WE (if your from 88) all learned the "standard" (gotta love that word LOL!!) system.. That's all I was saying... If you need more clarification please feel free to PM me and I will be happy to go into detail about it?

Andy, what he was saying, was that what you and I were discussing and what he and Moloch were referring to were unrelated. In any case, this is the comments section for my intro. Regarding the M/KM issue, I think Kickback was just playing...and I was playing back.

Kickback, the metric system is used internationally. There are many Americans who frequently use it. Miles are primarily used only by Americans and British. For complete communications though, 11265.408 km equals 7000 miles.
For reference, not all Americans agree with the decisions of the American government. Fuck Bush in his hemorrhoids!

:) Sorry this is a LOOOOOOOOOONG live joke between me and Moloch when I first talked to him some many years ago. So he would be the only one to "really" understand it... Its actually in a couple demos I made LOL!!!!

No, he said that because Moloch is from Seattle, but I was just joking around with Kickback about the USA stuff. In Avatar we are lucky to have members in many countries and not just the US. Several of our active members hail from different parts of Europe. Here in Tennesee however, I am surrounded by Rednecks.

I think you have Seattle mixed up with another city in our fine country, maybe something in the southeast?

Nice. I still cant agree with Richards style,it's like the drum and snare are hardwired to their positions. but this is in fact one of his better tunes. Reminds me a bit of Image's stuff.
Very consistent arrangement. It certainly fits the '90 style of the intro. (this comment was meant to be positive)

Logo by Gash? That may bring some questions from people who remember him. Gash made this logo back in 1992. The logo data was floating all this time on a lone floppy. The floppy had since been in a vehicle and safely traveled a total distance of 11265.408 km, through hot deserts at some points, until finally being included in this production for the world to see. Now it is safely preserved forever.

@Mace: Thanks. On most of my demo/intro productions I tend to leave out the scroll in cheezy web form because I've seen that people are sometimes lazy and don't even finish reading scrolls. They ought to have to download it and read it in it's intended form. Yet, I see the potential utility of this method too, since more people might be reached this way -- not that I have anything super meaningfull to say in scroll texts or anything...

@ daison: I replaced the screen dump (yes...), so it has better colours now.
And I added the scroll text.

Nice logo, too.

I love the vibe Richard's tune adds to the intro. The logo is cool too (better than the -edit: old- screenshot ;)

Also, I should add that Richard Bayliss delivered music which fit the movement on the screen in such a timely manner it was unbelievable. Less than 24 hours from the time I sent him the intro to look at. Very nice. Thanks Richard. I know you've been waiting a couple months to see the finished product.

Ok, I've provided the original text I had written after completing this work several months ago...which I should add, would not have been possible without the excellent logo by Gash. This scroll contains a plethora of greets to many of the people who have been influential to me in some way, either remotely or directly by way of being in my immediate proximity. Thanks to all who are mentioned, plus those whom I undoubtedly forgot.

The meager distance I have traveled with the c64 would not have come nearly so rapidly without your inspiration.
