Not Anvil of Dawn, but Lands of Lore:
http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/lands-of-lore-the-throne-of-c..

edit: I'm just posting this link for people who might be interested to see the original artwork, but I'm not saying there is anything wrong with handpixelled non-original artwork. I like it! But I wish artists would generally point it out when their work is derived, so no false impressions arise (like Grasstust's previous comment assuming the whole picture is original). Not a criticism of this particular case, it happens alot.

Scout:
I got little preview of this picture on 19.06.1998 (according to date in the note on the same disk). So this picture is rather old... I dont know if anyone has full stages of it (including the author) - I will ask about it for sure. Anyway check the file I have uploaded (pic_preview_19_06_1998.zip).

A wonderful picture. You really got the expression of the witch just right. She really captures you with those eyes. Honestly I think a lot of the top graphicians here can learn something from this: One thing is to make a great technical picture, but a lot of times I feel they lack something when it comes to eyes and expression.

The dithering seems a bit rushed and some places lacking, otherwise it would get a 10 from me.
