That was it, I added 2>error.log and it works now. Thanks (and to Sorex).

Could you give me an example invocation? I tried a few combinations but seems to do what it should.

Is it related error message redirection? That worked with "2>" for a very long time now but if it goes to a file anyway then use "-E err.txt". Errors can also go to stdout instead of stderr using "-E -" for easier piping.

I don't have a sourceforge account. Could you make it so you can pipe the output to a text file again, somewhere along the lines that got broken.
