Cracking scene never gave a shit about tape, dunno where you guys get that from. If you think trading turbo tapes at school is "the scene" then you are pretty mistaken.

I second what Neo-Rio wrote:
This isn't a 'onefiled' version, in fact it's a 2 file version which requires a diskdrive/SD2IEC to be available when running the game.
Imho, 'onefiled' means that a game is only one file, nothing more. If there is a high score file, then the crack should work correctly even when the file is not available or cannot be generated.
One of the original reasons for one-file cracks was tape compatibility, which nowadays might not be so important any longer, but think about one file hardware like tapcart, tapuino, cartridges like multi-carts, easyflash etc.
A onefile release should not require any additional hardware connected to the C64 once the game is loaded and run.

I wonder how this crack works when flashed into DTV, when it cannot start without a high score file?

Unfortunately this singlefiling doesn't pass the turbotape test. When loaded from tape, the game still requests the disk once you start the game...

I remember the single file 80 SID musics collection of crossbow. So, I'm not shocked with this release :) And I'm happy with it, 'coz Space Taxi is one of my favorite c64 games. Good work Crossbow.

Alright, alright! ;-) Jeez, people, calm down everyone! i removed graphics and also trainer from the credits (cause just the mini-sprite is not enough to be called a trainer - there's one extra option in the hidden menu though (no collision), but that also doesn't quite cut it. Code ofcourse stays in because optimizing it down to one file was the main work, and i won't call it a crack as there was no protection at all!

@tecM0: No, this game is not contained on the DTV, neither PAL nor NTSC release!

A 6-pixel sprite is about the weakest work for a gfx-credit i've ever heard of. Personally i think a crack-credit would fit better than a code-credit, since this is nothing more than a crack. We're only spoiling our own scene.

Apart from that, the game itself SUCKS! I get low score >:EEE.

What kind of coding was done by Crossbow for this game?

Mager: Well, there was stuff to choose from, so i did! ;-) I'd rather have more detailed credits than none (f.ex. according to the credits RFO does NOT include gfx! ;-)

Groepaz: Yes, unfortunately we found out about the N0s-Version AFTERWARDS! ;-) We still released it though cause it has some stuff that might be interesting (DTV-Samplefix, Mini-sprite)
btw: didn't the N0s-version have a samplefix, too? For the new SID IIRC, might just work on DTV, too!

@MagerValp: In my eyes, the credits are absolutely correct.

interistingly this one doesnt have anything that the previously released version from nostalgia didnt have - except for the sample fix that isnt needed on a real c64 at all :=P

Code, Graphics, Trainer, Linking, and Bug-Fix credits?

Why are people adding so many redundant release credits these days?
