Really cool piece of work! 8D | User Comment Submitted by Trurl on 14 September 2006
Yeah, this pic is very cool though the mock-Russian letters look a bit stupid. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 14 September 2006
this flag animation makes my jaw drop and pierce the globe :O | User Comment Submitted by Deev on 13 September 2006
looks great, I think the flag is a very nice touch. | User Comment Submitted by Mirage on 13 September 2006 User Comment Submitted by Hein on 13 September 2006
Clever use of the hires restrictions and wonderfull atmosphere. Cool. | User Comment Submitted by Motion on 13 September 2006
Now, this I *really* like guys! Great work all round - brings back memories of my father talking russian! (even though he was Polish!). Is that Arnie in Red Heat, leaning against the flag? Ha! ;)
The subtle music and wind adds greatly to the atmosphere - nice touch with the flag, helps bring it all to life. Like the fact that the intro fades out into the picture part after a period of time. Awesome!

Beautiful, beautiful hi-res. Extremely fitting aesthetic concept, the subtle music, the flag waving... Great all around. This makes me happy, WEC.
I was expecting a sprite train to pass by fast at some point or something. That would have been rocking. | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 13 September 2006
I should downvote this for not having the right screenshot ;) original pic btw | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 13 September 2006
i like the idea to put those gfx releases into small productions a lot. go for it by all means! | User Comment Submitted by jailbird on 13 September 2006
Quoting wile coyoteI figured if i up loaded the image people might not bother to download it, thus miss out on the added bonus of flag movement.
Haha, good idea, and according to the number of downloads, it works well! Pity we can't force people to check the pictures on real C64. \:D/ | User Comment Submitted by Kenho on 13 September 2006
Coool! you should have made parallax scrolled clouds :-D | User Comment Submitted by ptoing on 13 September 2006

EDIT: concerning the tune - can anyone with a 8580 tell if $11 is being played? | User Comment Submitted by Skate on 13 September 2006
fuckin' awesome!
p.s: sprites are used not only for the flag but also for the man. | User Comment Submitted by Graham on 13 September 2006
@Twoflower: It is no AFLI picture, it is plain hires bitmap (with sprites for the flag). | User Comment Submitted by j0x on 13 September 2006
Nice work, Shaun. Excellent. | User Comment Submitted by Twoflower on 13 September 2006
This is a really nice AFLI-pic, even better than the one before. Very nice feeling in it, not just a technical showoff. | User Comment Submitted by QuasaR on 13 September 2006 User Comment Submitted by Jetboy on 13 September 2006 User Comment Submitted by leonofsgr on 13 September 2006 User Comment Submitted by Matt on 13 September 2006
