"2mb standard" should be considered design flaw if flashtool supports any size and using custom flat lame filesystem limited to 16MB [edit: and only 126 entries without directories!] instead of eg FAT16 (or maybe even simplier FAT12) considering it's handled by microcontroller anyway and there is tiny FatFS implementation also is "frowned upon" because you still use the same protocol/footprint SPI flash chip, you don't change eg disk format like 1541 vs 1581 with zero hw compatiblity except high level DOS.

Ingo Korb overall did much better work around SD2IEC than Tapecart but yes, it works.

Cool release!

Sidenote:
TapeCart standard is 2mb.
All original TapeCarts are 2mb.
(just like Easyflash is 1mb).
Going beyond that (for whatever reason) is abandoning the standard and frowned upon.

I use external programmer in such case, takes less than 5 minutes however (if I recall correctly) 6h on real hardware or so means 'flash over nite' :)

Yes. That might happen in the future.
I can only imagine flashing this on the original tc must take a while.

Just a tip from me: can you make 2MB or even 4MB compilation of your cracked games? (it works with standard TC firmware loader on real HW, I recently haxored VICE to support 4MB files too, standard releases are fixed to 2MB like usual TC even if TC firmware supports 16MB filesystem out of the box ;) )

To be actually "onefiled", it should actually fit into (unexpanded) ram and therefore fit onto one standard disk side, right? Because if not, watch out for a tsunami of multifile-games mashed together on a tapecart.
