This was meant to be a portrait of Jeff Minter. The original photo used was:
The PETSCII version is done with Marq's PETSCII editor that allows a reference image and the photo was used as such. The charset version is done with an aim of tracing the original by hand. WOW! He *is* very recognizable. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 8 November 2016
It's definitely a pinnacle of petscii art. Top skill for putting fine detail in that scale. But is it only me that find his hair and beard a bit of... gross? :D | User Comment Submitted by Carrion on 8 November 2016
met Jeff at Pixel Heaven retro event in Warsaw one year ago. So I can confirm he looks like this. ;)
Great job Electric \o/ | User Comment Submitted by Archmage on 8 November 2016 User Comment Submitted by hedning on 8 November 2016
It take back my "ok?" which originated from a tuime where this entry was just void and emptyness, and instead let's celebrate: OK! Really great! | User Comment Submitted by psych on 8 November 2016
I totally dig your style Electric! Keep them coming! | User Comment Submitted by Electric on 8 November 2016
I don't think I caught the looks that well with this one. Petscii is indeed DAMN difficult when it comes to making a portrait - smallest changes in that nose-eyes-mouth-aread lead to a fact the person will look someone totally else. It was mostly stupid to even try to do something like this but
at least tried. Suppose next stop brings something 'more blocky' or 'functional' again.
I did of course use a reference image with this one:

fantastic, I only think he is a bit pale in brownish... while his persona displayed in his light shows and games are a bit more contrasts... other than that it is him and very very great created! :-) | User Comment Submitted by Motion on 7 November 2016
It really captures him well. Great work! | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 7 November 2016
Now that's upped, I can confirm it's really worthy =) | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 7 November 2016 User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 7 November 2016 User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 7 November 2016
No download, no credits, no screenshot. It must be a form of art, representing the emptiness left in the C64 world by Jeff Minter not producing more games. Worth a motivational 9/10. Good Work!1 | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 7 November 2016
