WOW! This is the ultimate Cowboy Duel!
Bad Bob is pretty hard to master... oh my. However: so many great levels and options and tiny ideas. What a massive release!
I especially like how you can shoot the hat off the other player... ;) | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 29 December 2013
really a very hard to play one AI is too smart and fast for me ^^ | User Comment Submitted by finchy on 29 December 2013
Wow, really nice game, even for single players. I like the VCS reference level and also that there are quite a few different levels to fight through. Great party game! Thanks a lot for this one! | User Comment Submitted by Rough on 25 December 2013
This is my dream? That's news to me. | User Comment Submitted by DATA-LAND on 23 December 2013
@The Shadow:
Thanks for the NTSC tip. This is a timing-subroutine of the game kernal for waiting of rasterlines. I can't use your "skip"-opcode for the PAL version, but i'll find another way for future projects, which wokr 100% in PAL & NTSC! :) | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 23 December 2013
@DATA-LAND: IIRC I also played it on the Philips Videopac. Well it was well worth the wait! It has become really nice! | User Comment Submitted by The Shadow on 22 December 2013
For functionality on NTSC (standard) and C=64 (old) NTSC systems, ingame, place byte #$24 at memory location $156D.
This will effectively bypass a crash and allow full PAL/NTSC compatibility. | User Comment Submitted by DATA-LAND on 22 December 2013
@Yogibaer:
Since 2011/2012 i know the ATARI VCS 2600 "Gunfight" version, i wished and planned an own version. But i hesitated, because i know it will be a big project! And the CPU opponent must not be an idiot - that would be a catastrophe!!! After "Krieg im Weltraum" i started the project with a big and good concept on paper. I planned 3-4 months of production, but i lasted 7 months... | User Comment Submitted by Bamse on 22 December 2013
Nice release! I really appreciate details like the hat flying off and stuff... :) | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 22 December 2013
Cool game! Prime Suspect, JSL and I were planning to make such a game but since this is a good version we won't! I even made a tune for it in Renoise. (Bonanza cover). Maybe it can be used somewhere else in future. | User Comment Submitted by Mactron on 21 December 2013
Very nice game with lovely details. Thanks a lot for this 'christmas-gift'. I'm looking forward for more data-land productions. | User Comment Submitted by Sixteen Plus on 21 December 2013
Wow, excellent work. I'll be playing this a lot over Christmas :)
As this is clearly a clone of 1975's Gun Fight by Midway, for more authenticity, is it possible to also add an optional death musical sound sequence in the music options menu in a future update? :) | User Comment Submitted by Exploding First on 21 December 2013
