@hedning: It messes with the C128's test-bit, which indeed can turn all VIC-II colors grey. My Philips monitor has a hard time to keep the sync though. Video signal also is >60 Hz now (guess).

PS. You won't get 16 shades of grey, the VIC-II only has 9 luminances so you only get 9 shades of grey.

ZeSmasher: see summary. It seems the emulator can't do the trick? Can anyone check on real c128 hw in C64 mode and report?

started x128, go64, loaded and started the file... no fifty nor sixteen shades of grey here :(
