Although it's all executed without much skill, it managed to build an atmosphere (the depressing music, song titles like "no man army" etc.) of hopelessness and boredom. Many of the tunes use the same instruments and the melodies aren't going anywhere.
With very simple means the intro manages to feel kind of fresh, and the main screen also seems to want to tell me something. The colour cycling in the scroller isn't a very good idea, though.
All in all, this is a bit like watching Ricki Lake on TV while listening to Joy Division. Not exactly a positive experience, but nonetheless an experience. |
