Highscore schmighscore. It's always about a girl. :) Thanks for the positive feedback, makes me happy I was bold enough to release this ahead of schedule.

this is ofcourse just insane good - but to me this is not the highscore, but I am maybe abit weird... it is just totally beautiful song, hats off... but then again, it might just be the perfect one on highscore too... you stand there and higscore list on side and in a sunset and wreks of battle in the backgrounds... hmmm... oohhh.... it is great!

Incredibly beautiful and refined piece! Few other tunes matched the competition theme better imho, but still it's a straight 10!

As far as I'm concerned, this is as good as it gets. Perfectly executed, very balanced. A faultless tune.

So in the end Dane came and cleared the table. Everything nicely balanced...

As a highscoretune this probably fits the genre better than your first tune. On the other hand my perspective on what goes as a highscoretune has changed a lot during this compo. Very melodic stuff and at times it sounds like you've got 4 channels available. Lovely tune.

@Linus - hahaha.....

Doing remix of 'Losing Control' and 'Twilight Worker' for years now ;) Am I right? :)

Me love you, you son of a gun ;)

@Dane - ah - I thought you both used Goat.

aight den - convincing Linus should be a breeze :)
I'm quite sure learning a new editor is way up there, on everybody's priority lists…

For coop with Scallop (2nd place on X-2001) I learned SYNC editor. (although it was quite similar to DMC5.0 - same author)

First linus has to learn SDI. He still owes me a coop for a couple of years now :-D

Glenn - wow, that really means a lot to me. :) We have similar styles and that makes me even more happy that you liked it.

Ole - Go convince Linus to start using the JCH-editor and I'll get back to you on that one. :)

I have listened to this for a long while now, and to me this is the winner song. The melody is nice and heart warming and everything just fits so well together.
The only minus I can find is I don't consider this to be a typical power ballad.
But still, you get my best votes.

@creaMD: Hahaha - you should check out some easy accessible, melodic 70s inspired prog for starters, and see if you can first get teased, then have your sex…

@Dane: ah - so co-op then?

I feel we had this same back-and-forth during The Last Compo when Eskimonika was deemed too catchy or too cheesy for some. To each his own, I guess. :)

As far as prog (whatever that means) musicians are concerned. To me it is like BDSM versus good old sex (let's say misionary ;-)... I respect both worlds, but I was never too keen of spanking and teasing (eventhough I find it quite interesting and attractive from time to time) and no humping. Some people are, though. They want to be spanked and teased, and tortured all the time. Dudes like you Linus, or Randall to name few, are the Masters of this craft. I respect you greatly, I rarely get completely satisfied listening to your tunes, but when I do, it's fantastic. As far as far as my preferences are concerned I will always enjoy the good old humping. Yes it's primitive, straightforward, simplistic, but it's also natural, raw, and very enjoyable. That's how I like my music. It's not a matter of conscious choice, it's a matter of acceptance of ones nature.

I like both your entries, but this one I like the most. Cool combo with the hum along melody, and that funky ass bass.

As for a co-op, I think the scene would be able to handle it.
In fact some might actually enjoy it.

From a SID musician's point of view, production-wize, you're not exactly Yin & Yang though.

Some might even look upon such a thing as a a perfect match.

You're both on Goat, right? And you both have teh internets.

I DARE YOU TO MAKE A CO-OP! :D

Linus <3 Yin and yang making a baby? The scene wouldn't be able to handle it.

Dane, I wonder what your tunes would have sounded like if you had dared to make them less commercial and more prog? Really, your stuff is slick, catchy and in a league of it's own and I should probably love it but I can't get past the ponies and butterflies most of the time. I admire you ... but I cannot love you, I am afraid =D

Time for a coop! ^^

At first i thought this was going to be another capital cheesefest.
Still is, but turns out a pretty great one once the ponies and butterflies of the intro pass and the bass kicks in.

Whoa!!! Love this rendition. Absolutely decent introduction. A bit repetitive in the middle but that's just because one knows the melody already pretty well ;-)). I like how you play with fades ins and outs, classy and very relaxed feeling. And good wrap too. ;-)

Awesome tune. But feels somehow 'wasted' for this compo. I really love your style: all your songs seem to scream for a nice demo to be part of.
