Soo many options to play around with ... great piece of art!!! | User Comment Submitted by MCM on 7 January 2020
Old School rulezz ! Nice work !! I really like it ! | User Comment Submitted by Smasher on 6 January 2020
@Laurent: no problem sir. you did a great job with your intro btw! :)
@Spider-Jerusalem: oh that could be... I see I have d011 commented out in my source, some debugging leftovers probably :/ uhm, what if you set #$9b at $d011? doh, never had one of those AR or RR carts back in the days, SuperSnapshot forever! :) | User Comment Submitted by Laurent on 6 January 2020
Such a cool idea for this legendary intro ! your entry motivated me to do mine, thanks Smasher :) | User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 6 January 2020
IRQ init is probably borked. When you start from AR/RR fastload there are heavy frameskips. My guess would be that $d011 is not set properly.
[EDIT: oh, this was meant to be a "goof"] | User Comment Submitted by anonym on 5 January 2020
Love the original, what a nice throwback. Nice remix, too. | User Comment Submitted by Smasher on 3 January 2020
@Mr.Ammoooooo: oh gosh... to know which was the final version and which the preview you could read the comments here, or read the scrolltext, or check the filenames, or check the screenshot or.. or... :)
now a separate entry for the prv has been created, sigh! my revenge will be that I'll drink so much beer at next X you'll go bankrupt :)
@Oswald: just added some instructions in the summary :) | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 3 January 2020
I dont get intro in intro, only one small intro on the basic screen center ? | User Comment Submitted by goerp on 3 January 2020
And then I accidentally press SPACE. .
Amazing intro!
Listening to the music ends me up with Kim Wilde's 'you keep me hanging on' in my head, thanks ;) | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 2 January 2020 User Comment Submitted by Mr.Ammo on 2 January 2020
Which of the two download links contains the actual programme I should vote for? They're different programmes. likely I should vote for the one with the highest ID? It's probably better to create a new release for the non-competing version (making it less confusing)? | User Comment Submitted by Slator on 30 December 2019
nice idea, love the TPI intros. great work | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 29 December 2019
Great idea and execution! | User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 28 December 2019 User Comment Submitted by Smasher on 25 December 2019
thanks all for the good words!
since Doc mentioned the prv here I uploaded it (I hope earlier builds of a released intro don't need separate entries, or?).
the preview features: an A4 fade-in fx, a mini TPI intro (a bit different than the final one) and an incomplete borderless TPI intro. everything is unoptimized.
The first idea was to have that borderless TPI intro moving in all directions. | User Comment Submitted by Dr.Science on 25 December 2019
Ahh, finally you finished this one! I remember the preview a few years ago. And you did a great job! This is really cool! | User Comment Submitted by Walt on 25 December 2019
LOL :) Very nice idea and execution! | User Comment Submitted by Dymo on 24 December 2019
Ah... nice one, the TPI-intros keep reminding me of the days of 'ol.. .... :) | User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 24 December 2019

I don't know if we have the same feelings. The original one is my all time fave intro, I loved so much this music. As The Ryk usually said I would have made a project like this. Well If I ever back in coding I would have made a tribute to the Papillons... one of the few c64 groups I hadn't traded with.
So thanx for the tribute and happy xmas back to you and the F4CG crew! | User Comment Submitted by Smasher on 24 December 2019
F4CG invents: the intro in the intro!!! :)
I coded a small TPI intro back in the ATL+F4 days (3+ yrs ago) waiting for a good reason to release it.
I tried to make it 4K for ICC2019 but because of the music size that was not really doable.
So I added some extra features and released it as 16K instead. Pls read the scrolltext carefully.
Enjoy it and Merry X-Mas from F4CG!!!
P.S: some small bugs and grey dots left, those won't be fixed... :) |
