Grass appears to struggle with anti-aliasing, the Commodore’s multi colour resolution, and 3 colour per char limitation. At least, that’s the impression I get when looking at the Avatar logo. The result looks raw to say the least. The arrangement of the font is interesting enough.

The hires 2x2 character set looks good.

Full ack. Wire my ass, to my mind converting means transferring some existing pic into another format automatically via software. If this is "hand-made" pixel by pixel, I wouldn't speak of wiring.

Nevertheless, the intro gfx could have been better. Being no gfxian myself (or at best a lousy one) I at least know that diagonal lines are not really the friend of multicolor mode resolution, so SOME technique is required if you wanna make those lines look as good as they can. I guess this is what everybody meant by "bad conversion", epspecially the "A"s and the "V" are affected.

But I do not agree that the gfx is really "spoiling" the intro which is still a good piece of work in my eyes and ears.

Um, well...I agree that it's not my favorite work by Grass, yet it did grow on me over time (I've personally been looking at it off and on for several months now). Either way, I don't care what anybody says, prior to or after this, but if a person draws something pixel by pixel it isn't a conversion, no matter what your definition. At least not in your usual "wired" sense of the word.

Dont convert. I made the original shape with CorelDRAW, after redraw it in Project ONE. The colors, wave, etc. was made by pixel by pixel. If this is "convert" You have right.

Too bad you don't like it, but being honest about it is a good thing imo ;)

I doubt the logo is converted though.
